Real Thai hands. Real pressure. A quiet room on Standard Drive where the traffic, the inbox and the shoulder you've been carrying since Tuesday all get left at the door.
01 — Who we are
Jina Thai Massage Spa is not a chain and not a salon with a massage bed in the back. It is a house on Standard Drive that has been turned into a quiet place, run by Thai therapists who were taught the traditional way — with the thumbs, the elbows, the forearms, and enough patience to actually find the problem.
You will be asked where it hurts. You will be asked how hard you want it. And then you will be left alone with warm oil, a hot compress and a room that smells of lemongrass instead of Randburg.
The welcome is the Thai one — warm, unhurried, the same as walking into a spa in Thailand. Most people who come to us either sit too long or train too hard, and both arrive with the same tight neck and locked lower back. Acupressure along the energy lines, slow assisted stretching, and warm oil worked into the deeper muscle: that combination is what shifts the pain. And when the Highveld turns cold, the electric blankets and heaters go on before you lie down.
02 — The menu
Every treatment runs 60, 90 or 120 minutes. Not sure which one? Send us a WhatsApp describing the sore bit and we'll tell you honestly what to book.
Dry, clothed, on a mat. Stretching, compression and rocking along the energy lines — the one that leaves you two centimetres taller.
About Thai massageLong, warm, unhurried strokes with a blend chosen for what you need — lifting, grounding or straight to sleep. Reduces stress and calms the mood.
Try it as Thai + AromaHot oil aromatherapy for insomnia, stress and muscle injury. Tight necks and shoulders from long hours at a computer, or from overdoing it at the gym.
About deep tissue & sportsSmooth basalt stones held at body-melting temperature, worked along the spine until the muscle stops arguing.
About hot stoneMuslin bundles packed with lemongrass, ginger, turmeric and lime leaf, steamed and pressed into tired muscle. Best thing we do for inflammation.
Thai massage with herbal compressStarts with a warm herbal foot soak, then thumb pressure through the reflex points. Thirty minutes here fixes a day of standing.
About foot reflexologyThe screen-fatigue treatment. Scalp, jaw, neck and upper back only — no undressing, no oil in your hair unless you want it.
Pair it with reflexologyA full-body exfoliating scrub, then a warm milk bath to soften the skin. You leave smooth, clean and glowing.

You're met at the door, shoes off, and asked two things: where it hurts, and how firm you like it. That's the whole consultation.
Private, curtained, warm. Thai linen, low light, lemongrass. You'll be given a fresh set of Thai pants for the traditional treatments.
Full session on the clock — 60 minutes means 60 minutes on the table. Say "lighter" or "harder" at any point. You will not offend anyone.
Water, a few minutes to sit, and a shower if you'd like one before you rejoin the world.
Simply one of the best massage experiences around. I've actually had the pleasure of having Thai massage all around the world, and Jina is one of the best therapists I've come across.Lana Lovasic · Johannesburg
My wife and I visited this spa. It was a great experience. The therapists are amazing and knowledgeable. Will definitely return.
Always friendly and accommodating. I love Thai massages, and the ladies at Jina are brilliant! They take pride in looking after you.
They were open late, friendly and the environment is incredibly calming. Focused, good pressure. Prices are also incredibly reasonable.
06 — Booking
Fill this in and it opens WhatsApp with the message already written. Send it, and we'll confirm your slot — usually within a few minutes during opening hours.
07 — Questions
Anything not covered here — just WhatsApp us. We'd rather answer it than have you wondering.
Walk-ins are welcome and we'll fit you in if a therapist is free. That said, weekday evenings after 5pm and Saturdays are our busiest hours — a quick WhatsApp an hour or two ahead almost always gets you the slot you actually want.
Depends on the treatment. Traditional Thai massage is done fully clothed — we give you loose Thai cotton pants and a top to change into. For oil, aromatherapy, deep tissue and hot stone you undress to your comfort level and stay covered by a towel throughout; only the area being worked on is uncovered. Foot reflexology and head/neck/shoulder treatments need no undressing at all.
It's firm, not brutal. Traditional Thai and deep tissue work sit at the edge of "good sore" — the point where the muscle releases. If it tips into actual pain, say so immediately and the therapist will back off. We would far rather adjust than have you quietly enduring it for an hour.
Sixty minutes is right for one area — back and shoulders, or legs, or feet. Ninety minutes is the sweet spot for a full body with time to actually work a problem area. Two hours is for when you want the whole thing done slowly, or you're combining a herbal compress with a massage.
Yes — our Mother-to-Be treatment is a side-lying, fully supported massage designed for pregnancy, and we'd normally see you from the second trimester onwards. Please clear it with your doctor or midwife first, and tell us how far along you are when you book so we can prepare the room.
Yes. Jina offers therapeutic and relaxation massage only — Thai, oil, deep tissue, hot stone, reflexology and pregnancy massage. Nothing else is offered.
32 Standard Drive, Blairgowrie, Randburg 2194 — a short drive from Linden, Victory Park, Craighall Park, Parkhurst, Emmarentia and Cresta. Tap “Directions” below and Google Maps will take you to the door.
Yes. There is secure off-street parking at 32 Standard Drive — you drive in rather than leaving your car on the road.
Cash, card, EFT and SnapScan all work. Gift vouchers are available for any treatment or any rand amount — message us on WhatsApp and we'll sort it out on the spot. They're a genuinely good last-minute birthday save.
Yes. The couples room takes two people side by side with two therapists, and it books out first over weekends and around Valentine's, Mother's Day and December. Book a few days ahead where you can.
Just message us. A little notice lets us offer the slot to someone else, which we appreciate. If you're stuck in traffic, tell us — we'll hold the room where we can, though a late start may mean a slightly shorter session if there's a booking behind you.
There is, and you're welcome to use it before or after your treatment. Handy if you're coming straight from the gym, or heading somewhere afterwards and don't want to arrive glazed in oil.
Offices, yes — our corporate on-site service brings seated head, neck and shoulder massage to your workplace, usually 15 to 30 minutes per person. Message us with your suburb and headcount and we'll quote you.
Before: don't eat a heavy meal in the hour before, and arrive five minutes early so you're not rushing in. After: drink water, go easy on the gym for the rest of the day, and expect to feel mildly worked over tomorrow if you had deep tissue. That's normal and it passes.
