What it is
Slower and firmer than you’re used to — on purpose.
Deep tissue massage works into the deeper layers of muscle with slow strokes and sustained pressure, instead of skimming the surface. It’s the one to book when there’s a specific tight spot — the knot under the shoulder blade, the calf that won’t let go.
Sports massage
Our sport deep tissue treatment focuses on the muscles you actually use: quads, hamstrings and calves for runners and cyclists; shoulders, chest and back for gym, padel and swimming. Useful a few days before an event to loosen up, and a few days after to recover.
Talk to your therapist
Firm should never mean gritting your teeth. Tell us where it hurts and how deep you want it before we start, and say “lighter” or “harder” whenever you like. A good session sits right at the edge of “good sore”.
Add a herbal compress
For really tired muscle, choose the version with a steamed Thai herbal compress — a warm bundle, traditionally filled with lemongrass, ginger and turmeric, pressed into the muscle between strokes. From R550.
- Desk workers with tight necks and shoulders
- Runners, cyclists, padel and gym regulars
- Physical jobs — standing, lifting, long drives
- Anyone who finds a relaxation massage too gentle
What people say after.
4.740+ Google reviewsThey were open late, friendly and the environment is incredibly calming. Focused, good pressure. Prices are also incredibly reasonable.
I called to book and immediately got help and a booking. The specials are good for couples, and when you come alone they accommodate your needs for pain.
I have had many Thai massages but can say that this was one of the best. I will be back again.
Questions
Deep tissue, answered.
Anything else — see all FAQs or WhatsApp us.
Will I be sore after a deep tissue massage?
Some people feel mildly worked-over the next day, like after a good gym session. It usually passes within a day or two. Drink water, and go easy on heavy training that day.
Is deep tissue massage good for back pain?
Many people book it for everyday tension in the back and shoulders. If you have an injury, a disc problem or pain that’s getting worse, see a doctor or physiotherapist first — massage is for wellbeing, not a replacement for medical care.
Deep tissue or Thai massage — which should I book?
Deep tissue if there’s a specific knot or sore area you want worked slowly with oil. Thai massage if you feel stiff all over and want to move better. Not sure? WhatsApp us what’s bothering you.
How long should I book a deep tissue massage for?
Sixty minutes for one area — back and shoulders, or legs. Ninety minutes to cover the full body and still spend real time on the problem spot.
