What it is
Closer to assisted yoga than to a back rub.
Traditional Thai massage — nuad thai — is done fully clothed and without oil. The therapist uses palms, thumbs, forearms and elbows to press along the body’s energy lines, then moves you through slow, supported stretches: hips opened, spine gently twisted, shoulders drawn back.
What an hour feels like
It usually starts at the feet and works up. The pressure is rhythmic rather than gliding — press, release, move on. The stretches are passive: you breathe, and the therapist does the moving. Most people leave looser through the hips and lower back, and noticeably taller.
Thai, oil, or both?
If you want the stretching but also like the glide of oil, book Aroma + Thai — part traditional, part aromatherapy oil massage, at the same price. For really tired muscle, choose the version with a steamed Thai herbal compress: a warm muslin bundle, traditionally filled with lemongrass, ginger and turmeric, pressed into the muscle. From R550.

What people say after.
4.740+ Google reviewsAlways friendly and accommodating. I love Thai massages, and the ladies at Jina are brilliant! They take pride in looking after you.
I have had many Thai massages but can say that this was one of the best. I will be back again.
They were open late, friendly and the environment is incredibly calming. Focused, good pressure. Prices are also incredibly reasonable.

Anything else — see all FAQs or WhatsApp us.
Is Thai massage done with oil?
Traditional Thai massage is done without oil, fully clothed. If you’d like oil, book Aroma + Thai — part traditional, part aromatherapy oil massage — for the same price.
Does Thai massage hurt?
It’s firm, not brutal. Some stretches and pressure points sit at the edge of “good sore”. Say “lighter” at any point and the therapist will adjust — you won’t offend anyone.
What should I wear for a Thai massage?
Something loose and comfortable that you can stretch in — no jeans or belts. Traditional Thai massage is done fully clothed.
How often should I have a Thai massage?
Once a month is a good maintenance rhythm for most people; every week or two if you’re training hard or working through stiffness. Your therapist can suggest what makes sense after your first session.
Thai massage or deep tissue — which should I book?
Book Thai if you feel stiff and want to move better: it’s stretching and rhythmic pressure. Book deep tissue if there’s a specific knot or sore spot you want worked slowly with oil. Not sure? WhatsApp us what’s bothering you.
